Initiative in Innovative Computing @ Harvard
Seminar Series
Wednesday, April 2, 2008; 4:00pm
60 Oxford Street, Room 330
Stephen Green, Senior Staff Engineer, Sun Microsystems
Seminar Title:
Search at Sun: Past, Present and Future
Abstract:
Sun Microsystems Laboratories has had a search project almost since
its founding. The history of the search projects in Sun Labs
parallels the history of search over the past decade and a half. This
talk will provide an overview of much of the research undertaken at
Sun during this period, as well as giving some insight into the
current problems being undertaken by the research community. In
addition, we'll have a look at some new work being undertaken in the
Labs that uses traditional search technologies for a decidedly
untraditional application.
Upcoming IIC Seminars:
Continue to stay up to date with our IIC Seminar Schedule.
Parking is available in the 52 Oxford Street Garage. Please tell the
attendant that you are attending the IIC Seminar.

Dear group,
If you make a cappuccino, please clean after yourself. In particular, clean
the frother thoroughly immediately after you use it.
Sorry for the massive e-mail, but it is not the first time in these past
weeks.
Cheers,
-Alejandro
