Monday, February 4: A panel of scholars discuss how the field of Science, Technology and Society (STS) provides a bridge for those who see the intersection of science and humanities not only intriguing , but essential to addressing today's greatest policy challenges at "Lives and Careers in Science, Technology and Society."

Thursday, February 7: Dr. Nick Aladin, the head of the Laboratory of Brackish Water Hydrobiology Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg, discusses the "Past Present, and Future of the Aral Sea", focusing on the conservation and rehabilitation efforts of the remnant water bodies to reverse the negative effects on the lake’s ecosystem due to declining water level and increasing salinity.
