Dear Professor Aspuru-guzik,

8.50 - that's the just-released very first official Impact Factor of
Energy & Environmental Science

This great news shows the fantastic start the journal has had since its launch in 2008. It also puts EES as officially the #1 ranking journal in its ISI subject category.

Energy & Environmental Science continues to publish important, agenda-setting research. The journal has a very large, community-spanning international readership from across academia and industry.

On behalf of Editor-in-Chief Professor Nathan Lewis and the Editorial Board, we thank all our authors, referees and readers - your support makes the journal what it is.

Further to our previous correspondence, we would of course like you to be a part of the future success of the journal. Please do submit some of your best research for publication in Energy & Environmental Science. If you are interested in writing a feature review-type article, such as a Perspective or Minireview, I would be happy to discuss this further with you. For information on the scope please visit our website.

Articles can be easily submitted in any reasonable layout / format via our website.

Do also keep up to date with the latest news from Energy & Environmental Science by signing up to our free monthly table-of-contents e-alert and "Footprint" newsletter.

We really hope you will accept this invitation to submit an article. Do get in touch if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.

Yours sincerely,

Philip Earis
Managing Editor,
Energy and Environmental Science

(The figure of 8.500 has been supplied directly to RSC Publishing by Thomson ISI – due to a technical error, Energy & Environmental Science was omitted by Thomson ISI from the initial release of figures. The Journal Citation Report (JCR) will be corrected soon, but please do tell colleagues the good news in the meantime)
