Title:  How an electron catches an ultracold atom; or an entire BEC

Abstract:

When an electron wave function becomes so extended as to overtake the mean interparticle distance, stuff happens. One of the "stuff" is spectral line shift and/or broadening. In an ultracold trap, this manifests itself in interesting, and at times unexpected phenomena, during a Rydberg excitation.
