Dear Professors,

Since this note was sent yesterday, it has come to my attention that John Liqiang Wei has confronted more Professors in CCB this month than I was previously aware of.

I thought it important to share a picture of this individual- I found the one below on the web.

Please call the Harvard Police Department at 5-1212 if you see him.

Best,
Allen

Liqiang (John) Wei

Dear CCB Professors and Staff,

Unfortunately, Liqiang (or "John") Wei has entered the CCB complex twice this month and attempted to engage with Faculty and Staff about a Faculty position he has applied for.  He is not an appropriate candidate for our Faculty positions and has been told this and escorted from our complex on several occasions.  His inappropriate behavior and unwelcome visits trace back over 7 years.

Should you or anyone in your research group encounter him, please call the Harvard Police Department at 5-1212 so that they can escort him from the premises and issue a trespass warning and/or arrest him as appropriate.

To my knowledge he has not issued any overt threats or conducted himself in a particularly confrontational way.  Regardless, we should not accept his presence within our complex and promptly contact the HUPD if he visits again.

Best,
Allen

To all CCB Staff,
This seems to be an annual reminder but please let me know should a Liqiang
Wei (he is a PhD and also calls himself John Wei), stop by your office or
that of one of our professors. If either myself, Jerry Connors, or Mike
Paterno are not available you should contact HUPD (via the Control Room
5-5560), if Mr. Wei does not leave immediately.

This is a person with whom we have had some issues over the past 4 years. He
has applied for faculty positions and is not an appropriate candidate. I
have informed him both personally and via email of that fact and that he is
not to come on these premises.

To our knowledge he is not dangerous but has clearly become a real pest and
does not understand that we will not consider him for a position nor do we
want him on the premises.

Regards,
Tony
