The University Library is happy to share the news of the publication of Gonda Van Steen's edited volume of Charles Schermerhorn's memoir, entitled The Battle for Bodies, Hearts and Minds in Postwar Greece: Social Worker Charles Schermerhorn in Thessaloniki, 1946-1951. The Tsakopoulos Hellenic Collection holds the Schermerhorn papers (https://oac.cdlib.org/findaid/ark:/13030/c8k93gb9/), which contain, in addition to his memoir, a wealth of photos, correspondence, reports, and other materials.
