The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs will host a
directors' lunch with General-Lieutenant Evgeniy Buzhinskiy, Former Head
of International Treaties Directorate, Russian Ministry of Defense, and
Acting Head of the International Military Cooperation Directorate.
General Buzhinskiy's last position on active duty was the Russian
Ministry of Defense's Head of International Treaties Directorate and
Acting Head of the International Military Cooperation Directorate. He
has been intimately involved in developing and deploying Russian
international policies in the political military sphere. General
Buzhinskiy will explore the various aspects of Russian security policy
especially in the area of nuclear issues and illuminate the connections
and consistencies in those policies. He will discuss his thoughts on
Nuclear Arms, Strategic Balance, Missile Defense, Iran, Terrorism,
Russia's Military Doctrine and other US-Russian policy issues.
