Book of the Week:

The book of the week is The Spy Who Came in From the Cold, by John Le Carré.

Book cover with Berlin's Brandenburg Gate and a man walking towards it in the foreground.

This cold-war classic of British literature follows the last mission of a British spy, Alec Leamas, sent to East Germany. As Leamas's mission progresses, it becomes harder to see which side of the war he is on—and whether, by working for British intelligence, he is supporting or undermining the democratic values of his country. The book has also been adapted to a movie, which is available at Lamont—perfect for weekend viewing!

Have a work you would like to recommend to your peers? Submit recommendations using this form! Books, articles, DVDs, and other sources are all welcome!
