The Psychology Department is seeking Teaching Assistants for the Spring 2022 term. Preferred qualifications are teaching experience at the college level and a background in psychology, neuroscience, human development, or related fields. Harvard affiliation is not required. We anticipate openings for the following courses (based on enrollment estimates):

PSY 1 Introduction to Psychological Science (Professor Jason Mitchell) – Mon/Wed/Fri 9:00-10:15am

PSY 18 Abnormal Psychology (Dr. Rebecca Shingleton) – Tues/Thurs 12:00-1:15pm

PSY 1503 Psychology of Close Relationships (Dr. Holly Parker) – Wed 6:00-8:00pm

General TA duties: Leading weekly sections, holding office hours, grading assignments and exams, attending lectures, and attending weekly teaching meetings. Related duties as outlined by the course instructor. Note that all instruction is expected to take place in person on the Cambridge campus. Harvard requires proof of COVID vaccination for anyone with an on-campus presence.

Appointment dates: January 1, 2022 – May 31, 2022

Expected time commitment: Average of 7-10 hours per week per section including teaching time, prep work, grading, office hours

Compensation: Senior rate - $5,675 per section (for those with graduate degrees or 2+ years of graduate coursework); Junior rate - $5,058 per section
