Position Description: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Child & Family Psychology

Child & Family Associates of Greater Washington, LLC is seeking up to 2 full-time postdocs to join our dynamic team in Falls Church and Reston, Virginia.  These are supervised, 12-month positions that have the potential to become long term positions at the practice.  Starting date of the position is May 14, 2018; however, this date may be negotiable depending on the circumstances. Competitive salary is offered which will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and relocation stipend may be available. Moreover, a stipend to assist with EPPP study materials may be earned based on productivity. Whereas there will be flexible work hours, evening hours and Saturdays are required.  

 

This postdoc experience will provide individual, family, and group Integrative/Cognitive Behavioral-psychotherapy working with children, teens and adults. Training opportunities include outreach and consultation to area schools, and will offer significant experience working with ADHD, Disruptive Behavior Disorders, Anxiety, and Depression. Additionally, training in psychological evaluation and assessment will be offered. Postdoctoral fellows will receive weekly individual supervision by experienced CFA licensed clinical psychologists.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have completed all requirements for their doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from a regionally accredited university and an APPIC--accredited pre-doctoral internship. Applicants must be eligible to sit for licensure as a clinical psychologist in the state of Virginia by the end of postdoctoral training.  

 

Desired Qualifications:

CFA is seeking highly skilled, direct, and caring mental health clinicians (PhD, PsyD, EDD) to join our team in Falls Church and Reston, Virginia. We are looking for candidates who are skill-building and strengths-based, and who also value teamwork and establishing a rewarding connection with clients. He or she must also demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills as well as strong planning and organizational skills, and an intention to grow with the practice beyond their postdoc year. Clinicians who completed an APA-Accredited internship; have couples and family therapy experience; demonstrated psychological evaluation skills; interest and experience in working with young children, and Cognitive Behavioral/Integrative therapy skills are highly preferred.
