Friends, I want you to know that there have been some updates. A number of us have been
working closely with the dean of students office to figure out a few things, and I hope
that I will be able to share some positive news with you about dining very soon, maybe as
soon as tomorrow....

Is there any update on this? We were told by our deans we would at least get some sort of
shuttle service once it got colder (I think we would all agree, it is now colder).
Lauren Brandt told us specifically "the Transportation team created a dedicated
shuttle stop on Mass Ave – Radcliffe Yard for trips to and from the Quad and the
Square". At least for me, this is only a place to get DROPPED off at - they
don't pick people up from this stop unless someone else is getting off, so you kind
of just stand there and wave your arms and pray the bus driver stops.
It's getting colder, and rainier, and honestly kind of ridiculous that we still
don't have dining, and at the least, some sort of dedicated shuttle to the quad. We
are literally the only residential area >2 minutes away from a dining hall. Who do we
have to talk to to get something going about this?

Dear Cronks (!),
I know you all are eager to know where things are with dining. We have been working with
all the levers available to us at the moment.
Following some feedback from some of you, I can share that the current effort is focused
on loosening up restrictions on interhouse evening dining specifically for Cronkhite
residents. Because Cronkhite has students from all three quad houses, the specific ask is
to open up the three river houses that have a sister relationship with the three quad
houses to ALL Cronkhite students, regardless of their formal house affiliation. We are
consulting now with relevant houses, who are talking to their dining hall managers. This
remains still not completely settled, but this is where the energy is right now.
We are also still exploring a dinner van service to the quad, which would probably make
most sense when it gets a little bit colder.
We will continue to try to listen and do what we can to ensure you guys feel taken care
of.
AH
