Syed is a 2L at Harvard Law School and a Massachusetts native, his hometown of Longmeadow
being an hour and a half car ride from campus.
For undergrad he went to UT Austin where he walked on to the men’s powerlifting team,
majored in government, minored in philosophy, and graduated in 2020. Syed traveled around
the country throughout undergrad, organizing and fighting for disability rights.
Between undergrad and law school, he worked for a Boston tech startup which focused on
applying industrial level computer vision, artificial intelligence and machine learning to
issues faced by the blind.
At the law school, Syed is involved in the South Asian, Middle Eastern, Muslim, disabled,
and Texas student organizations. He spent this past summer working for a law firm in
Houston, where he will be returning to next summer. Syed plans on having multiple jobs
throughout his career in corporate law, academia, and advocacy, as he hopes to leverage
these sectors in empowering the disabled.
In his free time, Syed loves binge watching Netflix, working out, and going on adventures
with his wife and friends. He is excited to connect with you all on demystifying the law
school application process, exploring career options when you want to do it all or don’t
know what you want to do, and overcoming the hurdles of being a marginalized minority.
