The Program on Central Asia and the Caucasus and the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian
Studies (Harvard University) will present a symposium on the contemporary Caucasus,
Friday, March 2, 2012 from noon until 8:00 p.m. The symposium will take place in the
Belfer Case Study Room (room S020) at the Center for Government and International Studies
(CGIS), located at 1730 Cambridge Street, Cambridge.

The symposium will feature two roundtables: "History and Memory" and
"Building State Capacity." There will be an informal reception following the
second panel and a film in the evening ("Mimino," a Soviet-era comedy by
Georgian director Georgiy Daneliya).
