Dear friends of Dudley Arts programming,
We have been extended a special opportunity to visit the editorial offices of the Improper Bostonian (near Copley) on Wednesday, December 14th, at 5pm. Come see what it's like to make this sophisticated publication come to life! The editor, Andrew Rimas, will be our guide.
Space is limited. Please reply to this message by Thursday, December 8th, if you would like to attend. We will send out a message late this week to confirm attendance and provide logistical details.

MFA Outing to "The Clock"
“A compelling new work created by world-renowned artist Christian Marclay, *The
Clock *(2010), an ode to time and cinema, comprises thousands of fragments
from a range of films that create a 24-hour, looped, single-channel video. *The
Clock* tells the accurate time at any given moment, and wherever it is
screened it is synchronized to the local time zone, so that it is literally
a working time piece.” We meet on the steps of Dudley House at 6:30pm on
Wednesday, December 14th, to travel to the museum on the M2 (Harvard ID
required to ride). Museum admission is free to the general public on
Wednesday evening. Please RSVP to cramirez

JANUARY
*Wednesday, January 18th, 2pm*
Join us for a Dudley Arts outing to the Degas and the Nude exhibit at the
MFA! The nude figure was critical to the art of Edgar Degas from the
beginning of his career in the 1850s until the end of his working life, but
the subject has never before been explored in a Museum exhibition. “Degas
and the Nude,” co-organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the
Musée d’Orsay in Paris, features paintings, pastels, drawings, prints, and
sculpture, and calls attention to the evolution of the treatment of the
nude from Degas’s early years, through his triumphant offerings from the
1880s and 1890s, to the last decades of his working career. Free for
Harvard Students with ID. We will meet in the Dudley House lobby at 2pm.

that will be in dialogue with the visual art. The art opening and
reception will be on Friday, Feb. 3rd at 6:30pm in the Gato Rojo. Please

*Dudley Arts Chamber Music Initiative*
After an auspicious debut at the Lily Pad this past fall, the Dudley Arts
Chamber Music Initiative will continue throughout the spring semester. Its
ongoing mission is to connect GSAS musicians with professionals throughout
the Boston/Cambridge area for interesting collaborations at unusual venues.

ensemble, then write this month to Arts fellow Thomas Wisniewski at
twisniew(a)fas.harvard.edu. The spring concert will be held in April at a
venue TBD; rehearsals, individually arranged, will begin in late January
and run throughout winter and spring.
*Tango Argentino @ Dudley House*
Argentine Tango will continue throughout the spring semester! Two series of
tango lessons, beginner and intermediate, and an open, guided practica will
run from early February till late April. Registration in the Dudley House
office will open in the second week of January; open to Dudley House
