Subject: Class of 2022 / Commencement Student Speakers Competition
Date: February 18, 2022 at 2:06:35 PM EST
To: Commencement <commencement(a)harvard.edu<mailto:commencement@harvard.edu>>
Dear School Commencement Contacts, House Administrators, and Directors of Undergraduate Studies:
We are looking forward to hosting our first in-person commencement in two years. Part of our commencement exercises will include our student speakers – what many of us believe is the brightest point in the university-wide program. Referred to as the “orations competition” to select the three speakers, we are asking for your help in sharing details with potential student speakers in the class of 2022 who are interested in learning more about the competition.
The attached is a poster with details. We would be grateful if you could share this with your students and, if possible, print and post in a public space where your students may visit. Additional details are found on the commencement web page<https://commencement.harvard.edu/orations-competition> but if you have questions regarding this year’s competition, please reach out to commencement(a)harvard.edu<mailto:commencement@harvard.edu>.
Lastly, should you be asked for more information, please suggest that your interested students attend the informational workshop on Wednesday, March 2, @ 3:30 (via Zoom). To sign up for that workshop, please click here<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/harvard-university-orations-competition-worksh…>.
With gratitude,
Stephan

Good morning, all!
As you may know, HDS made the decision that course meetings will be remote after Thanksgiving. I’m writing to get a sense of how many of you are impacted by this.
Are you enrolled in a course jointly offered with FAS and HDS, and if so, has the instructor said whether the last week of the term and exams will take place in person or remotely? Please feel free to share any further thoughts about this if you wish: lamberth(a)fas.harvard.edu<mailto:lamberth@fas.harvard.edu>
Thanks!
Best,
Courtney
