Want an opportunity to publish the paper you wrote for your course? Want to
see it published in the Harvard Humanities Center's undergraduate
publication HUMANITAS? Want a chance to win the $100 HUMANITAS EDITORS'
CHOICE AWARD?
Humanitas is an interdisciplinary publication sponsored by the Harvard
Humanities Center. We solicit and showcase undergraduate students' best work
from every field in the humanities and social sciences. Humanitas provides a
forum for young scholars to contribute to a dialogue that transcends rigid
academic divisions. The 2008 edition of Humanitas will be published in the
spring and will be distributed throughout the university, online, and among
Humanities Center affiliates.
Humanitas invites all undergraduates (class of 2008 or later) to submit
thesis chapters, class essays, and other papers for class or individual use,
not to exceed 20 pages, to be considered for our next issue. Articles in
foreign languages are also welcome. Please limit to one submission per
student. In the case of multiple submissions, the last one submitted will be
the only one eligible for consideration.
Submissions will be judged anonymously by a committee of 6-8 students, and
Dr. Steven Biel, the Executive Director of the Humanities Center, will
assist in the editorial process.
For submissions, please use Microsoft Word (.doc) format and include "[2008
Submission]" in the subject of your email. Submissions are due by 6 PM
FRIDAY, APRIL 4.
Please direct all questions and submissions to:
