The *2nd Semi-annual Social Science "Dean's Conversation" *will be held *TOMORROW, DECEMBER 3rd, at 4:15p*, in the *Tsai auditorium in CGIS South* (1730 Cambridge St). Celebrate the end of the semester with a discussion about education! It has been said that Harvard students are so talented they would learn even if locked in a closet for four years. How can we improve on such self-instruction? In this "Dean's Conversation," /Changing Education at Harvard: What twenty years of research tells us about effective teaching and advising/, Stephen Kosslyn (Dean of Social Science) will moderate a discussion between Richard Light (Gale Professor of Education) and Eric Mazur (Balkanski Professor of Physics) about their separate approaches to studying how to maximize learning and engagement in undergraduates.
