Dear colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Susan Sypko has agreed to serve as the
Davis Center Collection Research Assistant at the Fung Library. She will
serve in this position until a new Davis Center librarian is appointed.
Sue will provide reference services for the library and archival
collections of the Davis Center, both during set office hours and
appointment times, and electronically in response to e-mail inquiries.
As primary research contact/library liaison to the Davis Center, Sue
will be available to assist with library research, instructing visitors,
affiliates, and students in basic research approaches using the Davis
collections at the Fung Library and the Slavic collection at Widener
Library. She will also provide orientation programs and referrals to
library resources and reference services outside Fung Library.
This past June, Sue received her A.M. degree in the Davis Center's
Regional Studies Program in Russian, East European, and Central Asian
Studies, and currently works part-time as research assistant in the
Center's Program on Central Asia and the Caucasus.
Going forward, Sue's time will be divided between her work at the Davis
Center and the Fung Library. She can be reached most easily via email at
<sypko(a)fas.harvard.edu>du>. You may also contact her at 495-4030 (library)
