One of Rachmaninoff's major compositions, St. John Chrysostom is a setting of a worship service of the Eastern Orthodox Church, featuring rich, chant-like, unaccompanied singing. Coro Allegro's 2005 performance of Rachmaninoff's other great liturgical work, All-Night Vespers, was one of our most popular concerts, and attendees and others have repeatedly asked to hear similar compositions.
