Yes, I did get that email, it was a day late, which worked out great for
us, because I pushed out most of our data during the "secret" test pass.
Cheers,
Steffen

Hi Steff,
Thanks very much for your management of this from the Pole end. They
did send out this notification (I hope you are on the SPTR event list)
yesterday, after your email. Great news that we are all caught up.

Hello,
ASC IT staff and science support personnel have successfully designed
and fabricated a replacement section of Ku-Band waveguide for the SPTR2
system. Yesterday the repair team installed the new section and ran
three test passes, transmitting data as expected.
Full Ku-band services will be restored with the next scheduled pass, and
additional passes will be added to manage data backlog. The system will
be closely monitored to track performance. When performance levels are
confirmed, an estimate for the time to reduce data backlog will be
determined and forwarded to the user community.
Many thanks to the dedicated personnel on station and in the US who
worked to complete these repairs and return the system to operations.
Thank you,
The SPTR Operations Team
