The Pluralism Project is seeking applications for research internship
positions for Summer 2014. Internship projects will vary depending on the
student's interests/experience but might include conducting ethnographic
research and field visits to study religious diversity in a particular city
of their choosing and/or working directly with the Pluralism Project senior
staff to enhance the Pluralism Project website and archival resources at

which is part of the larger Beyond the Culture Wars: Recasting Religion and
Politics in the Twentieth Century conference. This conference will draw
together leading historians from the United States and United Kingdom who
are eager to cast fresh light on religion and politics in modern America.
Their innovation will open up new ways of understanding, populism and
liberalism, urban crises and global turns, statecraft and environmental
activism, and other pivotal turns in which faith and politics collaborated
with surprising and profound effect.

Inter-Religious Studies (JIRS), Hebrew College, and Andover Newton
Theological School, is welcoming new and emerging religious and ethical

currently enrolled in a seminary, rabbinical school, graduate program, or

*Global Crossroads: Mormonism and Asia*

The conference will explore the theme of Mormonism in Asia, Asia in
Mormonism, and the rich cross-fertilization that occurs beneath the surface
of the seemingly monolithic North American centralized authority. Following
the conference, a book project based on the conference will be co-edited,
which is anticipated to be the first of a larger series on international
diversity within Mormonism and growing pluralism within Mormonism as a
maturing global faith.

*11th Youth Interfaith Pilgrimage in South India*
An Initiative to provide insight into religious diversity, build
cross-cultural understanding, and encourage spiritual growth

This fourteen-day program involves visits to religious centers across
South India, starting in Bengaluru and onward to Mysuru, Shravanbelagola,
and Bylakuppe. Sessions at each center will be conducted and coordinated by
the centers as per a predetermined schedule after consultation with the
Foundation and may conduct guided tours of the center and/or their
respective places of worship.

* Plural+ Youth Video Festival on Migration, Diversity, and Social
Inclusion Call for Video Entries*
Deadline: June 27, 2014.
Recognizing youth as powerful agents of social change in a world often
characterized by intolerance, cultural, and religious divisions, PLURAL+
invites youth to address key challenges and opportunities related to social
inclusion and cohesion, migrant integration, respect for identity,
diversity, and human rights, both at local and global levels. Young people
up to 25 years old are invited to submit short videos of five minutes
maximum in length regarding these issues.

organization which traces its roots back to the 1893 World's Parliament of
Religions and the birth of the modern interfaith movement, invites you to
apply for our most elite young adult opportunity yet.
Two young adults will be selected to become the 2014 Parliament of the
World's Religions Youth Delegates at the United Nations through the United
Nations Department of Public Information NGO body.

*Religious Worlds of NYC: **A National Endowment for the Humanities Summer
Institute for K-12 Teachers*
*Hosted by the Interfaith Center of New York and Union Theological School*
Dates: July 14 to August 1, 2014
Location: Union Theological Seminary, located in Morningside Heights

The institute will bring twenty-five teachers from throughout the United
States to New York City, to work with leading scholars of religion, meet
with diverse religious leaders, visit local houses of worship, and conduct
original field research. This combination of classroom and community-based
education will:
- Introduce teachers to American religious diversity
- Help them distinguish between academic and devotional approaches to
the study of religion
- Give them the pedagogic tools they need to teach about contemporary
lived religion
We hope you'll apply! Past participants describe the institute as "my best
professional development experience ever" and "one of the best learning

unique opportunity to explore the religious worlds of New York. All NEH

The *North American Interfaith Network (NAIN)* offers a unique opportunity
to include younger representatives (ages 16-35) in a valuable interfaith
encounter during the 2014 NAINConnect in Detroit, Michigan. This
scholarship recognizes young adults across the continent who are actively
engaged in important work at the high school, college, graduate, and
professional level.
If you are passionate about interfaith work, we welcome your energy and
enthusiasm and encourage you to apply! You do not need to be part of a
NAIN member organization to apply. Recipients are selected by the NAIN
Young Adult Committee, according to the directives of the NAIN Board of
