** A Convening on the Case Method: Building a Cohort, Building Capacity in the Field
------------------------------------------------------------
Dear friends,
We are excited to announce that the Pluralism Project recently received funding from the
Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Education
(
https://www.wabashcenter.wabash.edu/) to host a small conference where we will explore
teaching with the case method. The conference will take place on Harvard’s campus on
January 12th and 13th, 2019. Thanks to the generosity of the Wabash Center, we will be
able to cover travel and accommodations for out-of-town attendees.
This will be a very small conference, and participation will be determined through an
application process. We welcome religious studies, theology, and interfaith studies
educators to apply for this wonderful opportunity to learn from subject matter experts,
make connections with fellow educators, and help us develop best practices for teaching
with case studies.
For more information on the goals of the conference and to apply, please visit this page
(

. The deadline to apply is 11:59 pm on Saturday, September 15.
Looking forward to hearing from many of you,
Diana L. Eck
Director, The Pluralism Project
Professor of Comparative Religion and Indian Studies
Frederic Wertham Professor of Law and Psychiatry in Society
