Hi all,
Within the last couple of weeks, the small JBL speaker purchased by HGSA
for student events has gone missing from the lounge. If anybody has seen it
recently or knows its whereabouts, please alert Annie Boniface or me as
soon as possible (it's black, with orange accents).
A secondary reminder: the graduate lounge is for graduate students only.
Quite a few undergraduates have cycled through the graduate lounge over the
last semester, which I realize is often a simple mistake. However, we are
one of the few programs with the privilege of having a dedicated graduate
space. Undergraduate students, however, have most of the university to take
advantage of should they wish to use a study space.
If an undergraduate does come into the grad lounge, it is perfectly okay to
politely tell them they've made their way into a graduate student space and
ask them to acknowledge the rules that there are no faculty or
undergraduates allowed in without permission.
Sincerely,
Annie & Kabl

Reminder to go to the job market event tomorrow with Phil Deloria and David
Spreen ! If you have spoken the words "the academic job market is a
nightmare," this event is for you <3
See below from Dan:
Hello All,
I write with a final reminder that the Job Market Talk with Phil Deloria
and David Spreen will take place tomorrow from 2:00 to 3:00. I’ve copied
and pasted the Zoom link below my signature.
The event a few weeks ago was, I think, a great success and really helpful
for the students who attended, so I’m hopeful that many of you will be able
to attend this talk as well.
Best,
Dan
