Hello historians,
Join us *tomorrow, Friday April 22, at 4:30 pm in the Grad Lounge for a
chat on "Things I Wish I Knew Before I Started Teaching"*! We have a truly
expert lineup of panelists -- Claire Adams, Aaron Bekemeyer, Anna Bisikalo,
and Sophie Wilkowske -- who will speak on the highs and lows of teaching at
Harvard. Bring your burning questions about lecture and seminar TF roles,
the thesis writers' seminar, house advising, the HPI, lecturing, and other
pedagogical roles within the department. PhD students in all G-years are
encouraged to attend, but especially G1s and G2s. There will be cookies!
The wonderful Ken Alyass is also planning to set up a Zoom feed so that
folks who can't make it in person can listen in. Link here:

After the panel, stick around for the usual happy hour with pizza and
drinks!
