*Love, InshAllah: The Secret Love Lives of American Muslim Women
A Reading and Conversation with Co-Editors*
7:00-9:00pm, Monday, February 13
The Ticknor Lounge, Boylston Hall, Harvard University
The Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Islamic Studies Program at Harvard University
invites you to a reading of *Love, InshAllah* and a conversation with
co-editors Ayesha Mattu and Nura Maznavi. *Love, InshAllah* is a collection
of stories that sweep aside stereotypes as 25 Muslim American writers share
their search for love, showing just how diverse that search can be. From
singles' events and online dating, to college flirtations and arranged
marriages, from co-wives to same sex relationships, these stories challenge
perceptions of how Muslim women live their lives.
A discussion will be moderated by Kathryn Coughlin, Executive Director of
the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Islamic Studies Program. This event is free
and open to the public.
This event is co-sponsored by the Harvard Islamic Society, The Islam in the
West Program, and The Pluralism Project.

*Harvard Interfaith Awareness Week
February 6 – 11, 2012*
In 2011, the United Nations passed a resolution to commemorate the first
week of February as World Interfaith Harmony Week. This is our way of
celebrating with the UN. We have formed the Harvard Interfaith
Collaborative in recognition of the need to bring together the Harvard
College Interfaith Council, the Harvard Chaplains, the Center for the Study
of World Religions, Harvard Divinity School, the Pluralism Project, and
other interested members of the Harvard community in order to open the
lines of communication and share resources to achieve common goals more
effectively.
Join us! All events are free and open to the public.

“Divided We Fall” Lunchtime Film Discussion
Noon – 1:30pm
The Pluralism Project, 2 Arrow Street (4th Floor), Cambridge
**
*In honor of Interfaith Awareness Week, The Pluralism Project at Harvard
would like to cordially invite members of the Harvard community to a
lunchtime film discussion. We will be screening excerpts of the film
“Divided We Fall: Americans in the Aftermath,” a documentary produced by
Valerie Kaur, a Sikh American college student who traveled the country in
the months that followed 9/11 to document the hate crimes against Sikhs and
the responses to religious diversity she encountered.
Popcorn will be provided! Bring a bag lunch, if you’d like. For more
information about the film, please visit http://www.dwf-film.com/.
*Sponsored by The Pluralism Project.*

*Saturday, February 11*
*HUNGERally*
*6:00 – 7:30 pm*
*Boston University’s College of Arts & Sciences Building, 725 Commonwealth
Avenue (Room B12)*
Check the Map <http://g.co/maps/wcq22>
*
*Several colleges in the greater Boston area have been working together to
plan HUNGERally, an interfaith event to raise awareness of and provide
education about the issues of hunger and homelessness here in Boston. A
rally against hunger that will feature speakers including hunger-relief
activists and community faith leaders, as well as college students
representing a wide range of religious and non-religious traditions, this
event is a first of its kind. Though many Boston-area colleges have groups
dedicated to the rapidly growing interfaith movement, this will be the
first time they have worked in collaboration to bring their students
together over interfaith dialogue and service to others.
