is a special collections reading room overseen by Houghton Library. The collections of
the WPR features over 6,000 poetry-related audio recordings—a collection that poet Seamus

Resonance: A Modernism + Season Finale Party
Wednesday, April 26, 6:00pm
Woodberry Poetry Room, Lamont Library, Room 330.
Erin Moure, the 2016-2017 Woodberry Poetry Room Creative Fellow, will share from her
innovative work-in-progress: "Resonance: A Modernism" as well as celebrate the
launch of her recent book, Planetary Noise. Moure has published 16 books of poetry in
English and Galician/English and has translated 15 volumes of poetry into English from
French, Spanish, Galician and Portuguese.
The event will be followed by a season finale party.
Free and open to the public.

Join Preservation Services staff as they kick off Preservation Week! Try your hand at
leather tooling, learn how to preserve your digital photos, assess the preservation
quality of a frame, and more. Sign up to enjoy an insider’s perspective on the art of
exhibits with a tour of Houghton Library’s current show, HIST 75H: A Master Class on
Harvard Library led by Conservation and Curatorial staff.
If you do not have a Harvard ID, RSVP to preserve_wpc(a)harvard.edu to be added to the guest

What is your favorite library at Harvard and why?
Ernst Mayr (Museum of Comparative Zoology) has really a lot of zoology books and you could
do the whole place on roller skates.
What is a fun fact about you that people might not know?
Kumquat obsession when young.
What is one place beyond Harvard Square you would recommend that students visit and why?
Arnold Arboretum for really a lot of trees and shrubs, Brattle Book Shop for really a lot
of old books

True - Jesse Stuart; Paris to the Moon - Adam Gopnik
What is your favorite library at Harvard and why?
Ernst Mayr Library (MCZ) because it has lots of little nooks for studying and they also
have coffee and tea there for patrons!
What is a fun fact about you that people might not know?
My grandmother helped to establish one of the first elementary school libraries in
Vermont.
What is one place beyond Harvard Square you would recommend that students visit and why?
Kimball Farms ice cream stand - they have great ice cream, in amazingly large portions!
