Premeds of Pfoho!
If you are applying to medical school this spring, there is a mandatory meeting where we will go over the nuts and bolts of the admission process and the role that the Pfoho premed advising team plays in it. We strongly recommend that you attend if you're applying this cycle--and if you are a senior planning on applying in an upcoming cycle, we also recommend that you stop by so that you have all your bases covered when you decide to apply in 1-2 years' time.
Location: TBD
Best,
David, Sara, Sarib and Perry

Welcome Back, Everyone!
They say that Harvard students are like onions. No, we don't stink. We
might make people cry. If you leave us outside we don't get all brown and
start sprouting little white hairs... or do we?
Well, discuss this and other burning questions (what is everyone doing in
your swamp/dorm room?) at a* DHall Movie Night on Friday, January 31st, at
8 pm in Pfoho Dhall*!
Enjoy popcorn, each other, and a final break before classes are in full
swing. Can't wait to see you all there!

Dear Residents of Pforzheimer House,
Have you ever longed to get a PhD in the study of funky words printed over
funky images? Have you ever wondered why Harvard doesn't have a
concentration in memetic studies?
If so (or even if not), please join us for a Folkloristics and Weird
Humanities Table devoted again, by popular demand, to the analysis of
Internet memes. We will be meeting in the Moors 1 classroom from 6:00 to
7:00 on Tuesday. Please feel free to bring dinner from the dining hall;
BerryLine frozen yogurt will be served for dessert.
Also, please send us all of your favorite memes, which will form the basis
for our discussion on Tuesday.
We look forward to seeing you there.
-Daniel and Makinde

[Image result for polar bear snow tubing]
On Saturday afternoon, February 8, a bus will be departing from Pfoho at about 12:00pm for the Nashoba Valley snow tubing park. You want to be on that bus!
Snow tubing is a winter activity that requires NO SKILLS AT ALL. You get into giant inner tubes and you hang on as the tube glides, sails, or bumps (depending on preference and conditions) down steep or (if you prefer) less steep groomed snow trails. Sometimes people make chains of tubes. Sometimes people fall off and laugh. Snow banks on each side ensure you stay in lane. Once you are at the bottom of the hill, a “magic carpet” ski lift takes you back to the top.
Nashoba Valley's snow tubing park has 18 different snow trails and two lifts. There is a hot beverage and snack bar on the premises. We will snow tube from around 2-4pm. The weather is forecast to be sunny and not too cold. You will then have a chance to get some hot chocolate if you like, and we will have you back at Pfoho by 5:30 at the latest. Dress for snow play (parka or ski jacket, snow pants or jeans with an underlining of long underwear, boots, waterproof gloves or mittens).
Sign up here<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__docs.google.com_forms_…> by Wednesday, February 6, if you want to come. The House is covering the cost for this event (snow tubing tickets, transportation and hot chocolate). You may want to bring a little money for extra snacks.
We are able to take 45 students (the number that we can accommodate on the bus). We expect we will be able to find room for everyone who wants to come (we did last year). See you on the snow!
You all on February 8: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpGK4SjpuGY
