The Harvard University Center for the Environment is pleased to host a
faculty panel discussion:
_“Reducing Carbon, Promoting Sustainability: the Role of Individuals and
Institutions”_
As our society struggles with reducing greenhouse gas emissions and
transitioning to more sustainable environmental practices in general, many
individuals, companies, schools and other institutions have made commitments
to play leadership roles in these efforts. But how much of an impact can
individuals or institutions really make? How do individuals and institutions
like Harvard fit into national or global goals of reducing carbon emissions
specifically and promoting environmental sustainability more generally?
What are the roles for individuals, institutions, and companies in reducing
carbon and promoting environmental sustainability?
