First Solar is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of solar panels. The company
manufactures solar panels with an advanced thin film semiconductor process that lowers
solar electricity costs, enabling clean renewable electricity at affordable prices. Bruce
Sohn, President of First Solar, will speak on "Solar's Fit in Energy's
Future."
Sohn joined First Solar in February 2007 as President. He was formerly a senior executive
at Intel Corporation. He has served on First Solar’s Board of Directors since 2003, and
was a technical and managerial consultant to First Solar before joining the management
team. He is responsible for technology development, manufacturing, expansion, quality,
environmental health and safety, supply chain, management information systems and
worldwide human resources.
