Highlights:
Thursday, October 16: Max Page, Professor of History and Architecture
discusses his new work, "The City's End: Two Centuries of Fantasies,
Fears, and Premonitions of New York's Destruction" with faculty Jerold
Kayden (GSD) and Daniel Schrag (EPS) in the second Green Conversations event
of the fall semester.
Friday, October 17: The first in a two-part series highlighting American
Environmental History, this panel will focus on the "Sea" and features
speakers Jeffrey Bolster (University of New Hampshire), D. Graham Burnett
(Princeton University) and Helen Rozwadowski (University of Connecticut).
Wednesday, October 22: Former Vice-President Al Gore is the keynote speaker
of Harvard's week long celebration marking the official launch of its new
greenhouse gas reduction effort and will also celebrate Harvard's broader
environmental initiatives, including its critical role a university in
teaching and research in this area.
