Title: "Absorption and Energy Transfer on Quantum Aggregates - from
Molecules to Rydberg atoms"
I this talk I will try to focus on various aspects of the coupling of
electronic excitation to nuclear degrees of freedom.
In the case of molecular aggregates the influence of discrete internal
vibrational modes of the chromophores on the absorption spectrum is
discussed.
Energy transfer in the FMO complex ;) is handled using the non-Markovian QSD
approach.
In the second part of the talk it is shown how Rydberg atoms can be used to
investigate excitonic systems. As an example it is shown how the coupling
between excitonic and nuclear degrees of freedom allows to adiabatically
transport entanglement along a chain of Lithium atoms.
