*Title : *Femtosecond Laser-induced Electron Diffraction and Attosecond
Autoionization of Fano Resonances
**
*Abstract: *When molecules are exposed to an intense mid-infrared laser
pulse, electrons that are released earlier in the pulse may be driven
back to recollide with the parent ions to induce electron diffraction
images. In the first part of this talk, I will discuss how one can use
this laser-induced electron diffraction method to extract molecular
structure, with sub-Angstrom spatial and a few-femtosecond temporal
resolutions. In the second part of the talk, I will discuss how to
describe and probe the time evolution of a Fano resonance with
attosecond light pulses, and how to control the decay of Fano
resonances, in analogy to electromagnetic induced transparency (EIT) in
the time domain.
Best regards,
Gonzalo
