Subject: jobs available in quantum biology
Dear Colleague,
As you may know, I am the head of the quantum information and
quantum biology program at the Institute for Scientific Interchange
in Torino. We have two positions available in this field, starting
this summer (start date negotiable). The first is a postdoctoral
position, for one year renewable to two. The second is a staff
position, an open-ended appointment renewable subject
to continued funding of the program. The staff position
involves considerable autonomy and responsibility for the overall
direction of the program.
Candidates should have a proven record of research in
open quantum systems: researchers in quantum information, quantum
mechanics of biological systems, quantum chemistry, etc.,
are encouraged to apply.
The Institute for Scientific Interchange (
http://www.isi.it/)
is one of the best-known scientific `think tanks' in Europe,
with strong and well-established programs in quantum information
and in complex systems. Researchers in these fields will recall
the series of seminal conferences that have taken place at ISI over the past
two decades. Staff members at ISI have the option to hire and
supervise graduate students and postdocs.
If you have a student, postdoc, or colleague who might
be interested in either of these positions, please contact
me (slloyd(a)mit.edu) and Paolo Giorda (giorda(a)isi.it), and/or
have the candidate contact us directly.
Yours,
Seth
