Hi all,
Tomorrow Flo will speak at group meeting. See below for his title and

Chimera: enabling hierarchy based multi-objective optimization for
self-driving laboratories
Finding the ideal conditions for experimental procedures or engineering
problems is a challenging decision-making process which requires
significant time and resources. Additional complexity arises for tasks
involving multiple objectives to be optimized simultaneously. In this talk
I will present Chimera, an approach to multi-objective optimization in
scenarios where condition evaluations are costly and little is known about
the shapes of the objectives. Chimera enables various optimization
algorithms to reliably locate ideal conditions with only a few condition
evaluations. I will highlight the applicability of Chimera on two different
examples: the auto-calibration of a robotic sampling sequence for
direct-injection and the inverse-design of a four-pigment excitonic model
system.
