Hi Alan,
The conference sounds super interesting and… all the QC guys are willing to go!
So, we have a enthusiastic response from:
- Gian
- Salvatore
- Borja
- Jhonathan
- Ian
We are happy to share a car and accommodation (we are also open to share an apartment, in
case this was the cheapest option)!
Cheers,
Gian

medium size quantum computers
If any of the quantum folks want to attend and present a poster, let me know ASAP and cc
Marlon and Siria.
We could have you guys go in a shared car rental and share hotel rooms so it is not too
expensive.

On behalf of IBM we would like to cordially invite you to attend the first ThinkQ
conference held at the IBM TJ Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York on
December 2-4, 2015. The purpose of this conference is to bring together experts in the
broader field of quantum computing, and exchange not just our thoughts about the current
status of various quantum technologies but also emphasize the tremendous challenges ahead.
Our hope is to increase awareness of the tasks ahead of us for building a practical
quantum computer, and identify potential technical focus areas in common across several
quantum computing platforms with emphasis on superconducting qubits.
In addition to presentations from leaders in the broader quantum information and computing
community, there will be an industry panel to highlight the needs and thoughts from a
different perspective for this developing technology. You or any of your team you may
bring along are also encouraged to present a poster which will be part of a number of
poster sessions throughout the conference.
Please find information about the conference at
http://researcher.watson.ibm.com/researcher/view_group.php?id=6292. If you are interested
please let us know by October 20th the names of the people that would like to attend this
event.
Thanks
Jerry Chow, Matthias Steffen and Jay Gambetta
