*Title: *Superradiance and synchronization
*Abstract: *Atoms interacting with a bad cavity leads to a
collective dissipative coupling between them. By incoherently
repumping, the atoms exhibit steady-state superradiance. We identify the
phase synchronization of the atoms. As a result, we show that the
interrogation time of Ramsey spectroscopy can be increased by many
orders of magnitude. We also study the quantum synchronization of two
ensembles of superradiant atoms, where a dynamical phase transition is
identified. Lastly, I will talk about a new numerical method based on
su(4) superoperators enabling an efficient simulation of quantum master
equations.
