Hi Jonathan,
Just to follow up on Nitin's email--I'm not sure if you have took AM111 or have
experience with Matlab/scientific computing from elsewhere, but if so (or if you're
interested in learning) I know you did a good job with Nitin's class so I wanted to
reach out to you.
Currently, I'm planning on dividing the course roughly into four sections: numerical
linear algebra, numerical methods for ODE, PDE, and Monte Carlo techniques. The students
will also do an open-ended final project.
The main responsibilities of the TA will be grading homework and holding office hours. I
know you are toward the end of your studies and there may be weeks where you won't
have as much time as usual. I will be do my best to be flexible and make our schedules
work.
Please let me know if you may be interested in this possibility, and feel free to contact
me with any questions.
Best,
Thomas Fai

Hi Jonathan,
Hope you are doing well.
Thomas Fai whom you have met (we share our office), is urgently looking for a teaching
fellow for his course on Scientific computation and was wondering if you would be
available or if you know someone who might be. If possible, kindly contact Thomas, who
email address is included.
thanks.
