Message:
Imperial College London intends to appoint a significant number of
non-clinical Lecturers to our Faculties of Engineering, Medicine and Natural
Sciences, with outstanding ability and potential. Our aim is to extend and
consolidate our existing research interests, and also to embark upon new
areas that fit within our academic strategy. With this in mind, we are
seeking applications from candidates with a background in disciplines
within, or complementary to, science, technology and medicine. We are
looking to appoint those who will contribute to the College's mission, who
will enhance our international reputation and who have the potential to
become academic leaders.
Imperial is a partner in the Thomas Young
Centre<http://www.thomasyoungcentre.org/>(TYC);(TYC), the London Centre for
Theory and Simulation of Materials, which
provides an outstanding environment for research with particular strength in
first-principles electronic structure calculations. A list of academic staff
associated with the Thomas Young Centre at Imperial may be found at:
http://www.thomasyoungcentre.org/people/?institution=10
and prospective applicants are encouraged to contact the person working in
the area closest to them or the TYC Director Prof. Mike Finnis before
submitting an application.
For more information about these positions please visit

The closing date is 4th January 2011.
