Dear group, Let's make up the group meeting tomorrow at 3 pm. I think we should all be okay with that time since it is spring break. Anyone have problems? I'll explain Redfield theory, since it is essentially the only interesting thing about FMO now that we know that no quantum computing takes place. Redfield theory is essentially a way to calculate decoherence relaxation times, and I'll use a single spin in a magnetic field as a prototype. In other words, I'll show how to calculate T_1 and T_2 in NMR from first principles, and then I'll show how that's relevant to FMO. So this should be interesting for everyone. Any objections?
