Thank you, iQuISE Leadership Team iQuISE Seminar Series *Scalable Superconducting Quantum Integrated Circuits* *FRIDAY, February 3rd, 2017* 11:45 AM - 12:45 PM, ROOM 26-214 The field of superconducting qubits has demonstrated a exponential rate of performance improvement over the past fifteen years. Now, building a practical gate-based quantum computer with superconducting circuits appears within reach and would unlock transformative applications in quantum simulation and machine learning. To develop truly scalable chip hardware requires a multidisciplinary effort that integrates reliable chip fabrication, cryogenic microwave engineering, and circuit quantum electrodynamics. This is Rigetti Computing's approach to building quantum integrated circuits in a fast-paced startup environment. In this talk, I will present Rigetti Computing's superconducting integrated quantum circuit architecture that enables the high-fidelity measurement and control of coherent multi-qubit devices. Superconducting through-silicon vias and 3D isolation caps allow for scalable circuits without tradeoffs in signal integrity, forming a platform for the implementation of a wide range of on-chip functionality. When combined with efficient, robust signal delivery and instrumentation, this approach can be scaled for sophisticated quantum information applications.
