Dear Group,
Due to Alan's teaching schedule this Fall and seminar/meeting schedules here
and at MIT, we need to change the day/time of our regular weekly group
meetings.
I'd like to know the schedules of those students (undergrads too) who are
taking classes this Fall. We need to find a mutually agreeable time that
will not conflict with other weekly group commitments.
Please respond asap w/ your Fall term schedule.
Thanks much,
Anna

Dear Group,
Facilities stopped by to inform us that they will be doing construction in
M109 and M110 for the next 2 weeks. They are replacing the pipes above so
it will be loud. Although they will be putting down plastic to protect the
area, you may want to safeguard your equipment from any debris that might
fall.
Thanks,
Anna

Dear Quanta
We have decided to meet on Mondays at 3:00 in our old spot 6-310.

Hi everyone,
I am filling in for Alejandro in reminding you that we have group
meeting tomorrow.
First up, our visitor, Alexandra Olaya-Castro, 3pm M217.
Following right after, at 4pm in the same room, Darren Lipomi, from
the Whitesides lab.
Next, the Department BBQ to welcome the incoming students!
See you tomorrow,
Leslie
Dear group,
It is not yet absolutely clear, but it is mostly certain that Alexandra
Olaya-Castro will be with us tomorrow starting at 10.00 AM.
I will have her meet with you guys to learn about your research and for you
to learn about hers. If she ends up going to MIT tomorrow, we will meet her
on Wednesday at 10.00 AM and the same story applies.
Please don't forget that she is a "competitor", so I would encourage you to
talk mostly if not solely about our published or submitted research, and/or
topics that are not related to our immediate or long-term goals in energy
transfer. She is related to our friends Plenio and Huelga and therefore we
have to be careful.
I would recommend to emphasize the chemical aspects of organic photovoltaic
materials, and "dendrimers" as our main new direction and not talk about
Non-Markovian aspects if any or at all. Of course, if you are working on
quantum algorithms or quantum chemsitry, feel free to describe your
projects. It is only in energy transfer that we have to exercise care.
We will hear from her at 3.00 PM on Wednesday, so we will have 2 group
meeting talks this Wednesday.

We will meet on Tuesday September 2 at 4:00 in 6-310 to organize for
the term. Bring your calendars. Also let me know if you want to be
stricken from this email list as I do not like to clutter anyone's
