Dear group, Mike
I got *very* sick during my trip back yesterday. I feel better today, but I
am still trying to assess if I can go to Chemistry or rather stay and work
from here. I will be available by e-mail and can call you if you want to
talk in the phone, and most probably show up at 1.00 PM or so.

Dear group,
Tomorrow we have a visitor. Jonathan Skone from Penn State will be talking
about "Insights on Proton-Coupled Electron Transfer: Vibronic Couplings,
Time Scales,
and Nonadiabaticity". Same place, same time. Naito 030 @ 4pm.
Next week Dr. Olivares is up, and most likely he will give an intro to the
fascinating world of SERS.
See you all tomorrow,
-Alejandrp
Dear group,
Please welcome Lisa, who comes to our group from the fine waters of the
Great Barrier Reef (or maybe Indonesia). She is a Rainford's goby
(Amblygobius rainfordi), and you are welcome to come watch her sift sand
through her gills in search of invertebrates to eat. She is apparently
also prone to jumping out of the aquarium, so if you find her lying
around, please be kind and put her back in.
Ivan
PS. She is named Lisa because of the initial misidentification of her
species as Randall's goby (Amblyeleotris randalli) and the resulting
similarity in name to the fine string theorist from across the street.
Dear Friends of HUCE,
Please be sure to check the HUCE calendar on our website,

distribute this email to your students, faculty, colleagues,
and anyone else who may be interested in environmental events
around the community.

Dear Orpha,
Professor Aspuru-Guzik will be speaking at our upcoming Industry Partnership
Workshop on Friday, May 9, 2008. We are hoping you could send a message to
your entire group requesting they submit research posters for the workshop
poster session and reception, as we have very few posters at this point.
Many attendees from industry have already registered for the workshop (and
you are encouraged to invite any industrial collaborators who are working
with you to attend.) This will be a great opportunity to network and promote
the current research at SEAS and at Harvard. We ask your postdocs and
graduate students with projects in these areas *to submit titles for the
poster session and reception on Friday afternoon from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
