Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging and the Psychiatric Neuroimaging Division of the Psychiatry Department at Massachusetts General Hospital, Charlestown, MA
Project: Multimodal neuroimaging studies of sleep and memory
PI: Dara S. Manoach, Ph.D.
The position will involve investigating the role of sleep in memory consolidation, how these processes go awry in schizophrenia and autism, and the efficacy of pharmacological and other interventions. Our work has linked cognitive deficits to a specific heritable mechanism (sleep spindles) and we are seeking effective interventions. In collaboration with Dr. Robert Stickgold's lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, we are extending and expanding this basic and clinical research program using state-of-the art tools including high density EEG (polysomnography), MEG, DTI, functional connectivity MRI, fMRI, and behavioral studies. We are seeking someone to participate in these foundation and NIMH-funded investigations who is familiar with MEG/EEG methodology and data analysis, comfortable with methodological innovation, and is interested in optimizing and developing analysis streams tailored to the study aims and populations. New approaches and ideas are encouraged, as are independent projects that dovetail with current studies. The position requires working closely with the PI, as well as with Dr. Stickgold, other Martinos Center investigators, particularly Dr. Matti Hamalainen, Director of the MEG Core Lab, and labmates to design studies, acquire data, and develop, explore, improve and apply data analytic techniques. Training in clinical research and in the acquisition, analysis, and interpretation of neuroimaging data will be provided.
Requirements: PhD or MD Experience with MEG/EEG data analysis/methodology and/or other signal processing. Background in cognitive neuroscience, experimental psychology, and an interest in clinical applications are a plus.
Position available immediately. Interested applicants should email: (a) CV, (b) statement of post-doctoral and career goals, (c) writing sample (e.g., a published manuscript), and (d) letters and/or contact information for three references to Dara Manoach at dara(a)nmr.mgh.harvard.edu<mailto:dara@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu>. Stipend levels are in line with experience and NIH. A two-year commitment is required.

Hello All,
I am looking for a research assistant ($32K starting salary) with an interest in neuroimaging analysis and strong programming skills (or some programming skills & lots of interest in rapidly improving them:). We'd like to hire someone for a year or two to build neuroimaging analysis pipelines that would be used by the Human Neuroimaging Group (HNG) at UNC. Likely we'll use Nipype or Make so knowledge of linux is a must and knowledge of python is a plus. The job description is attached.
If you have any bright young undergrads with an interest in graduate school or medschool and programming knowledge/skill please send them our way!
The HNG<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__hngpsych.web.unc.edu_&d…> is vibrant cross-area group of labs including professors, post docs, graduate students, and research assistants who use neuroimaging to address a diverse set of research questions from clincial psychology to basic neuroscience. The biomedical research imaging center (BRIC)<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.med.unc.edu_bric&d…> at UNC is new and rapidly expanding and the Chapel Hill/Durham area is beautiful, affordable, and fun with a really fantastic music scene.
Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to announce an open staff position in my lab that could be a good fit for current postdocs and research scientists. We have recently received NIH funds to conduct the Human Connectome Project in Development, a large multimodal brain imaging study that will chart the development of brain connectivity in a large sample of 5-21 year olds. The project will be run across four universities, including Harvard University’s Department of Psychology and Center for Brain Science.
We have funds to hire a full time Coordinator who would oversee the daily operations of the project, be responsible for maintaining the quality of imaging data, and supervise a team of research assistants. The position is listed as two years in duration, but could extend up to five years.
Further details about the position are listed below. Review of applications is rolling. Please contact me directly if you are interested in the position by sending your CV and a description of your background, interests, and career trajectory (somerville(a)fas.harvard.edu<mailto:somerville@fas.harvard.edu>).
Best,
Leah Somerville

Subject: Call for applications-Consultant SOW for Validation Analyses for The Evidence Project
Dear Celia,
The Evidence Project/Population Council is currently looking for a consultant to undertake a set of validation analyses for research we are doing on rights-based delivery of family planning services in Uganda. I am writing to inquire whether you could distribute the attached consultant scope of work (SOW) to PhD students or recent graduates who would have relevant skills in the development of psychometric scales and who might be interested in consultant work with the Population Council? The SOW has details on the analyses to be undertaken, timelines, and required application materials. Please feel free to let me know if I can provide any additional information and I would be happy to. Thank you very much.
Best Regards,
Kelsey Q. Wright
