Assistant Professor Neuroscience
The Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada Las Vegas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment in neuroscience to begin August 2014. The applicant's specific research area within neuroscience is open. However, we are particularly interested in candidates with interests in computational neuroscience, or structural/functional brain mapping and connectivity that can add to the department's existing neuroscience research. We also welcome individuals who can interface with established and emerging research programs in Las Vegas investigating neurodegenerative disorders or autism spectrum disorders. The successful applicant would be expected to add to the department's growing neuroscience program by teaching graduate and undergraduate courses as well as mentoring student research. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field, and must have evidence of strong scholarly work and the potential for extramural funding. Postdoctoral experience is a plus.

Tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor for Fall, 2014 in developmental cognitive/affective neuroscience, Stony Brook University. We are particularly interested in applicants who study core neural systems relevant to anxiety and depression (e.g., threat and/or reward) from a developmental perspective using neuroimaging methods, but we will also consider strong candidates with other relevant interests and methods. This hire is part of a campus-wide initiative on the clinical affective neuroscience of anxiety and depression; the successful candidate will work with future hires and existing faculty in Psychology, Psychiatry, and Neurobiology and Behavior on translational research in anxiety and depression.

The Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary invites applications for a tenure-track Tier II Canada Research Chair in the Determinants of Healthy Development. The focus of the Chair in the Determinants of Healthy Development addresses a major priority identified in the University's Research Plan, the understanding of Brain and Mental Health, Optimizing Child and Adolescent Development and Behaviour. Specific area of research is open within the broad domain of healthy development. We are seeking individuals with strong research records appropriate to a research-oriented doctoral program and who have strong commitments to teaching and research supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.
The successful applicant will be expected to establish a successful and externally funded program of research in healthy development. Excellent candidates with active research programs in any area of healthy development will be considered. The position involves teaching, research, and supervision of graduate students.

The successful applicant should be within ten years of completing doctoral training. Although not required for the position, having accredited clinical training (including an APA- or CPA-approved internship) and being eligible for registration as a psychologist in the province of Alberta would be an asset.

The Department of Psychology is seeking to fill a tenure track faculty position in Neuroscience. It is anticipated that this position will be filled at the Assistant or beginning Associate Professor level in any of the Department's research Divisions (Adult, Child or Health). This search is emphasizing research interests in human cognitive neuroscience (e.g.,using functional MRI<http://www.psy.miami.edu/nis>). Individuals with clinical or nonclinical interests in neuroscience (cognitive, social, developmental or behavioral) are encouraged to apply. Candidate with substantial prior experience with advanced data analytic techniques are welcome. For clinical appointment, a Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA accredited program or equivalent is required. For non-clinical appointment, a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience or related area is required. Appointment at a rank higher than the Assistant Professor level requires experience and qualifications commensurate with rank.
