Psychology Diversity Postdoctoral Fellows
The Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan invites applications for a combined postdoc and tenure-track faculty appointment. Fellows will have up to 2 years to develop their independent research programs without teaching and service responsibilities before entering the tenure track. Pending a positive review during the second year of the post-doctoral period, the fellow will be invited to move into a tenure-track assistant professor position.
The fellow may affiliate with one of these eligible areas of Psychology: Biopsychology, Clinical, Developmental, Education and Psychology, Social Psychology, Gender, and Feminist Psychology.The Psychology Department is committed to providing mentoring and research resources that will support fellows in establishing independent research programs.

McLean Hospital - Harvard Medical School Postdoctoral Position
A full-time postdoctoral position is now available within the Laboratory for Brain and Cognitive Health Technology at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School, under supervision of Laura Germine, Ph.D. The Laboratory for Brain and Cognitive Health Technology is part of the Institute for Technology in Psychiatry (ITP), a newly launched initiative at McLean Hospital that aims to develop, validate, and apply mobile, web, and informatics-based health technologies to assess, monitor, and treat mental disorders. The ITP is the first of its kind in the United States, and the fellow will have a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team at the cutting edge of health technology.
Ongoing studies in Dr. Germine’s lab are focused on understanding fundamental aspects of information processing including perception, attention, executive control, and social cognition, and their relationship with mental and physical health across the lifespan. Dr. Germine is the Director of TestMyBrain.org, a large citizen science platform for behavioral research that has recruited 1.6 million participants from all over the world. The fellow will have access to this data as well as contribute to the further development of web and mobile technologies that serve the public good and advance the science of cognitive health. Finally, the fellow will work within the broader landscape of health technology development in academia and industry, as part of partnerships that are being established under the ITP.
In addition to an appointment at McLean Hospital, the fellow will be recommended for academic appointment as a Research Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. The fellow will also work with ITP leadership including Dr. Justin Baker, Dr. Kerry Ressler, and Dr. Scott Rauch.
Qualified candidates must have a doctoral degree, with expertise in psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience and/or statistics. The candidate must have experience or sufficient background to conduct statistical analyses of behavioral phenotypes.

Schedule (23 hours/week):
Monday, Thursday, & Friday: 2:30 – 6:15 PM; Tuesday 10:30 AM – 6:15 PM; Wednesday 2:30-6:30 PM
School year only (August 24th through end of school year in June); includes some days of February and April vacation weeks.
Responsibilities:
Daily planning, setup, and instruction for a designated group of up to 13 kids per day, five days a week, in the specified age group. This includes serving snack, supervising and participating in outside or gym recreation, monitoring homework time, and planning unique, varied activities for each day. Lead Teachers also work with all children in the program during combined-group activity times, and with other staff to plan and provide whole-program events. Must attend all-staff meetings each Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening (included in the schedule above).
Qualifications needed:
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* One year prior experience with children in a school, after school, camp, or other educational setting.
* Minimum of a high school diploma; bachelor’s or associate’s degree preferred.
* Must be able to pass both CORI and SORI criminal background checks, as well as a fingerprint check against a national criminal database.
