The American Psychological Association seeks a Director of Research and Special Projects to manage the design, management, and coordination of large scale projects that demonstrate the value and various benefits of integrating psychological knowledge, services, and methodology in areas of expanding opportunity for professional psychology, including medical services, disability services, and the broader corporate workplace. Preferred candidates will have a Doctorate in psychology but individuals with a Doctorate in other health services research areas will be considered. Candidates should have experience in project management in an association, consulting firm, research setting or other organization. Part-time work or experience concurrent with education may be acceptable. Background in mental health, health psychology, or health care policy preferred. Excellent organizational, analytical, and written and oral communication skills required.

This NIMH funded postdoctoral training fellowship is available to psychologists, neuroscientists, and both child and adult psychiatrists who are interested in conducting translational research on developmental neuroscience and child psychopathology, with a particular emphasis on early childhood. The child psychopathology domains include, but are not limited to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, pervasive developmental disorders, ADHD, addiction, and psychosis. The training model for this fellowship focuses on interdisciplinary training, with trainees gaining expertise in both basic and clinical domains, including developmental psychopathology, developmental affective and cognitive neuroscience, genetics and developmental neuroimaging. Fellows will be mentored by Washington University faculty with international reputations in developmental psychology, clinical neuroscience, functional neuroimaging, psychiatric genetics. and cognitive and affective neuroscience. Fellows will be involved in didactic training in core areas, professional development training, and most critically, both ongoing and newly developed translational research projects. UNC Clinical Psychology. The Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring an Assistant Professor with expertise in biological models of psychopathology, including the study of biomarkers, psychophysiological processes, neuroimaging, and/or genetics/epigenetic processes relevant to psychopathology in youth or adults. Candidates with interests in ANY area of child, adolescent or adult psychopathology or psychological treatment, are encouraged to apply. The position will begin no sooner than July 1, 2014.
