Assistant Professor, Cognitive Neuroscience/Experimental Psychology
The University of Central Florida Department of Psychology (College of Sciences) seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor level tenure-track position in Cognitive Neuroscience (broadly defined) to begin in Fall 2015. The appointment will be in the Department of Psychology, but the faculty member will also be part of a new neuroscience consortium between the Department of Psychology, UCF's Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences (College of Medicine), and other university departments. Primary teaching duties will be in the Department of Psychology, with opportunities to provide collaborative training and research experiences with other consortium members.
We are looking for a scientist with expertise in any area of cognition (e.g., memory, executive function), emotion, or any area that can increase fundamental knowledge of neurophysiological processes associated with behavioral or medical conditions (e.g., vascular health, cognitive aging). Candidates with expertise in neuroscience methods such as EEG/ERP, NIRS, or TMS, or in relating genetic or other biological markers to brain/cognitive function are particularly encouraged to apply. The new position is part of a growth initiative at UCF and the appointment will be in the Applied Experimental and Human Factors program. The Applied Experimental and Human Factors program consists of 10 full-time faculty members with expertise in a wide range of domains including attention, cognition, neuroscience, aging, and visual perception as applied to a range of practical domains such as automation and robotics, aviation, driving, team performance simulation, and training.
Applicants for the position must have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree from an accredited institution by Aug. 8, 2015. Candidates must also demonstrate a record of scholarship capable of attracting external funding, and strong teaching potential/experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Compensation for the nine-month appointment is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. UCF is classified as a Very High Research Activity (RU/VH) University by the Carnegie Foundation and has the second largest enrollment in the country (approximately 60,000). The Department of Psychology at UCF has 52 full-time faculty, over 4,000 undergraduate majors, and houses Ph.D. programs in Applied Experimental and Human Factors, Clinical, and I/O Psychology.

The MRC Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics (CNGG) has brought together world-leading researchers to better understand the major causes of mental illness using discovery and translational research. Following an extremely successful first term, the CNGG has been renewed by the MRC for a further 5 years and this is one of a number of new senior level posts designed to further develop the CNGG and associated research.
As a high-calibre senior academic with a background in epidemiology, genetics or psychology, you will facilitate the development of an internationally competitive research programme in epidemiology. Evidence of training in advanced epidemiological approaches and statistical analysis capabilities is essential. In addition, you should have a growing international reputation, as evidenced by a proven record of publications in high impact, peer-reviewed journals, ideally in the area of mental health research, together with a proven record of contributing and leading successful research bids and a strong portfolio of research grants.
This is a full time position (35 hours per week), and is fixed term until 30 September 2019.
Salary: £47,328 - £54,841 per annum (Grade 8).
Stanford University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is offering two child psychology postdoctoral fellowship positions for the 2015-2016 training year. The fellowship has major rotations working with patients in the anxiety and mood disorder clinics and minor rotations working with patients in the ASD and Eating Disorders clinics. Testing is also conducted. The fellow conducts initial evaluations, ongoing therapy, and group therapy for children and adolescents. Stipends are $50,000 plus benefits. Start date is 9/1/15. All applicants must have completed: 1) APA- or CPA-accredited graduate programs in clinical or counseling psychology; 2) APA- or CPA-accredited internships; and 3) all requirements for their PhD or PsyD prior to beginning their appointment.
