Practice Directorate
The American Psychological Association seeks a Director of Research and Special Projects
to manage the design, management, and coordination of large scale projects that
demonstrate the value and various benefits of integrating psychological knowledge,
services, and methodology in areas of expanding opportunity for professional psychology,
including medical services, disability services, and the broader corporate workplace.
Preferred candidates will have a Doctorate in psychology but individuals with a Doctorate
in other health services research areas will be considered. Candidates should have
experience in project management in an association, consulting firm, research setting or
other organization. Part-time work or experience concurrent with education may be
acceptable. Background in mental health, health psychology, or health care policy
preferred. Excellent organizational, analytical, and written and oral communication skills
required.
