The Department of Psychology at Lafayette College invites applications for a Visiting
Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2021. This is a one-year position with the
possibility of a one-year renewal. We seek applicants with expertise in Developmental
Psychology and/or Lifespan Development. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in psychology or a
relevant field and relevant experience teaching undergraduates. We seek a candidate who
can teach introductory and advanced, laboratory courses in lifespan development and who
can engage and supervise students interested in developmental research. An interest and
ability to teach one or more of the following courses is also expected: Introduction to
Psychology, Statistics, and/or Research Design. The teaching load is 3 courses per
semester. Contributing to Lafayette’s Aging Studies, Neuroscience, or other
interdisciplinary programs (e.g., Africana Studies, Latin American & Caribbean
Studies, or Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies) is desirable. More information about
