The Harvard College Writing Program at Harvard University has two openings for a one-term
preceptorship position for the Spring 2024 semester beginning on January 1, 2024 and
ending June 30, 2024, to teach Expository 20, the Program’s course that fulfills Harvard
College’s first-year writing requirement. Preceptors in this term-limited position will
teach a themed writing course that the preceptor will develop with the Program; each
preceptor will teach two sections of fifteen students per section. Salary and benefits are
competitive. Preceptors in this position will be eligible to apply for multi-year
preceptorships that begin in the academic year 2024-25, for which the Program will
advertise nationally later in fall 2023. Please email

The hiring process will include a one-hour interview and will conclude mid October.
